In short: SkipAlarm requires no account, shows no ads, and uses no tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not process your alarms or days off on an app server of our own. Apple services, website access, and emails you choose to send are explained separately below.

1. Data controller

2. Data in the app

Alarms, days off, and settings

SkipAlarm stores the alarm times, weekdays, labels, snooze duration, and enabled status you choose. It also stores your selected holiday region, individual holiday preferences, vacation periods, and extra or skipped alarm days with their labels. This data is stored on your device and processed there to schedule alarms. The app does not request your GPS location. Holiday rules are built into the app; no external holiday service is needed.

Trial and purchase status

The app processes your trial start and end dates and your Pro entitlement status. In the current app version, the trial start is determined from the original app acquisition date verified by Apple; if unavailable, a locally stored first-launch date is used. This information is used only to determine which features are available.

Storage and deletion

You can delete alarms and vacation entries in the app. Settings remain stored until you change them or delete the app together with its local data. You can also change alarm and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Device backups, such as iCloud or computer backups, may include app data, depending on your Apple and backup settings. We cannot access your backups.

Diagnostics

The app uses local iOS system logs for troubleshooting. SkipAlarm does not automatically send these to an analytics service of its own. If you enable sharing diagnostic information with app developers in your Apple settings, Apple may provide us with technical error reports in accordance with those settings.

3. Apple services and permissions

Alarms and local notifications

With your alarm permission, SkipAlarm passes scheduled alarm times and related display information to Apple's AlarmKit on your device. Without this permission, the app cannot schedule alarms. Optional notifications remind you to refresh your schedule or inform you about your trial or holidays. They are scheduled locally on your device; we do not use our own push server. You can change or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

Live Activities, Siri, and Shortcuts

iOS may display alarm information as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Information visible there may also be seen by other people who can see your screen. Siri and Shortcuts let you refresh the schedule or skip tomorrow's alarms. Processing of Siri requests is governed by your Apple settings and Apple's privacy information.

In-app purchases

The one-time SkipAlarm Pro purchase and purchase restoration use Apple's App Store and StoreKit. The app checks Apple-verified transaction and entitlement information, including the product identifier, purchase status, and any revocation, to unlock Pro. We do not receive payment card or bank details. Payment processing and Apple's processing are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. This website

The website uses no analytics or marketing services, embedded third-party videos, or externally loaded fonts. The website code sets no cookies and does not persist information in your browser. The website automatically selects German or English using your browser's language preference order. If neither language is listed, it falls back to English. A manual selection takes priority and is carried in internal links as a “lang” URL parameter, not saved in browser storage. Language preferences are evaluated locally in your browser only.

When you visit the website, the hosting provider necessarily receives connection data, including your IP address, the time, the requested file, HTTP status, and information sent by your browser, such as browser type and, where applicable, the referring page. This data is used to deliver the website, maintain security, and troubleshoot errors, not to build advertising profiles. Technical logs should be retained only as long as needed for these purposes; longer retention may be necessary to investigate specific security incidents or meet legal obligations.

The recipient of this technical data is the hosting service provider used to operate the website. You can request information about the specific hosting service and its applicable retention periods at the contact address above. External links, for example to Apple, are opened only when clicked; the respective provider's privacy information then applies.

5. Email contact

If you email us, we process your email address and the information you provide to handle your request. Our email service provider may receive this information. Correspondence is deleted when no longer needed for your request, unless legal retention obligations or legitimate reasons, such as establishing or defending legal claims, require continued storage. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.

6. Purposes, legal bases, and recipients

Where the GDPR applies, processing needed to provide the app features you request and respond to contract-related inquiries is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where consent is required, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a). For secure website operation, technical troubleshooting, and general inquiries, Article 6(1)(f) applies; our legitimate interests are a secure service and effective communication. Processing required by law is based on Article 6(1)(c).

We do not sell personal data. Apart from the service providers described, disclosure may occur where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Apple processes data for its own services under its privacy policies; this may include processing outside the European Economic Area. See Apple's linked information for details of recipients and safeguards. We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Contact feedback@geofency.com to exercise your rights. We cannot access app data stored solely on your device. This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to data we do hold, such as a support email.

You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your residence, workplace, or a suspected infringement. For private-sector providers in Bavaria, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision is a competent authority.

8. Changes

We update this policy when features, services, or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this page.
